Pawa Liklik NGO Forum 2021

Almost two years into the global pandemic, international NGOs are all facing slightly different but similar realties wherever we work; daily challenges include COVID-19 responses, the increasing effects of climate change, and the ever-present challenges of doing as much as we can, as efficiently and effectively as we can with limited resources.

Now in its third year, the Pawa (Powerful) Liklik (Small) NGO Forum has become an annual collaboration highlight, bringing together and harnessing the power of small to medium-sized NGO’s and the range of qualities and approaches to development that make them efficient, nimble and adept in creating meaningful impact and delivering outcomes in collaboration with people and communities.

Dr Genevieve Nelson is excited for KTF to be hosting the event again this year, “Pawa Liklik is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together as a community, to share, learn and celebrate the adaptability of smaller organisations working at grassroot level. Our NGO counterparts are taking valuable time out to attend the forum, so we want to ensure it’s a great exchange; of knowledge and expertise, ideas, strategies, policies, and monitoring and evaluation outcomes with the sector. We’re looking forward harnessing the power or small!“

At the 2021 virtual forum, we’ll be digging into real-life case studies of challenges faced by our cohort, workshopping together with the hive mind as well as subject matter experts to arrive at effective and workable suggestions and solutions for implementation. Couple this with an opening by Senator the Hon. Zed Seselja, Minister for International Development & the Pacific, what to expect from COVID-19 with Professor Brendan Crabb, Director & CEO of the Burnet Institute and inspiration from Sam Mostyn, President, Chief Executive Women, it’s a forum not to be missed.
